Pro Loco Sant'Angelo in Grotte
Since 1980 it has promoted the area, the history and the traditions of Sant'Angelo in Grotte, protecting its artistic, cultural and environmental heritage. A member of FAI and UNPLI Molise.
Serving the village since 1980
The Pro Loco Sant'Angelo in Grotte was officially founded on 20 October 1980, with a notarial deed of incorporation. The Association is based in the historic centre of Sant'Angelo in Grotte, a hamlet of the Municipality of Santa Maria del Molise (IS), and is governed by its own Statute.
The Pro Loco aims to carry out activities to promote tourism in the area, along with its history and folk traditions, with appealing initiatives to make known and appreciated all that the place offers — everything created by nature and by human work over the centuries.
Another purpose of the Association is to protect and enhance the artistic, cultural and environmental heritage of Sant'Angelo in Grotte, with the help of the local authorities and residents. The Pro Loco is a member of FAI (the Italian National Trust) and part of UNPLI Molise (the National Union of Italian Pro Loco associations).
